WASD / Arrows to move around and interact with things.

In a place with only night, how does nature cope? How did things come to be this way? Who took the Sun?

Thank you for checking out the Priiism demo! Please let us know what you think of it.

This is an early prototype, conceptualized and built from scratch in about 4 weeks. Feedback is greatly appreciated, as it will help us turn this rough demo into a more fleshed out experience that can take better advantage of its premise and potential mechanics.

Known Issues

  • The browser version of the game doesn't look quite as nice as the desktop version! I recommend playing on desktop, if possible.

Full Version Goals

  • 3 acts, including an expanded and improved version of this opening act.
  • Shader-based lighting so that crossed beams will show an intuitively hue-mixed color.
  • Many more meta-puzzles across connected rooms.
  • 30-50+ real puzzles.
  • Full source code and project assets available for download with notes, comments, a dev dairy, and potentially full Git history for perusal. This has been the goal from the start.

I really like the mechanic and i see a lot of potential, but there are some issues better to be taken

- Its too dark, i have a hard time finding the levers of the mirrors and seen where they are facing
- there should be a better way to indicate which color of light need each end, i solved the last room by pushing the mirror until it lights {also locked myself because the cart was blocking by the other mirror, forcing me to go out to reset it}

also, i love to ram thing that you make {i ram over everything}, but i don't find the difference in the breakable walls, it may be because of the light maybe

but overall, good demo, fun time

There's a lot to like here! I'm going to say some critical things, but please understand that's because I think this is at its heart a very good game with a lot of promise.  Basically, the premise is good, and the puzzles are quite solid in conception.

I admit I didn't love the movement; I found it kind of jerky and offputting.  That might just be me.  A few more objective issues (disclaimer: I was playing on the web, not the downloaded version):

  • It's very dark.  I get that it's about light, so it's bound to be overall dark so that the light stands out, but it was often very hard to see the tracks.  More than once I was slowed down on a puzzle by not even realizing something could be pushed.  (Similarly, until the light hits it, I often couldn't tell what direction a mirror was facing.)
  • I never got a sense of the colors; even the room with the four color targets ended up being much more trial-and-error than anything principled, because on the one hand I couldn't tell what color a target expected (especially between "green" and "yellow"), and on the other I couldn't really tell what effect an orb was going to have.
  • In the place with the two side rooms, there wasn't any good visual indication that lighting the target accomplished anything; I had to go back to the main room to see an effect. (Note: I was also playing with the sound off; there might have been an audio cue. Even so, you can't count on all your players using sound.)

But the mechanics are solid and the exploration aspect is a good one.  Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Thank you for the feedback, it’s very helpful!

Excellent pixel art demo! It creates a fantastic atmosphere with its lighting, music, and sound effects. I really enjoyed it. Great job!

Omg, excellent demo! The movement is so fun, the puzzles are good, the ending left me wanting more and I realized there was optional stuff I completely missed :O
